1. Introduction
These Terms of Service outline the agreement between you (the client) and BlackSea Advisory regarding the delivery of accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, and business advisory services.
By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not accept these terms, you should not use our services.
2. Scope of Services
BlackSea Advisory provides the following services:
Taxation and accounting for individuals and businesses
Business advisory and strategic planning
Bookkeeping and compliance services
Digital transformation support and operational structuring
All services are tailored to the client’s needs and governed by the Code of Professional Conduct set by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA).
3. Professional Obligations
As a registered tax agent (TPB #26298433) and IPA member, we are required to:
Act lawfully, honestly, and in the best interests of our clients
Maintain professional competence and confidentiality
Avoid conflicts of interest
Follow the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA) and related laws
4. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and timely information
Promptly respond to queries or requests for documents
Review all reports and lodgements before submission
Meet your tax and reporting deadlines (we assist, but ultimate responsibility lies with you)
5. Fees & Payment
All fees are quoted upfront where possible or billed hourly as agreed in writing. Payment terms are 7 days from invoice date unless otherwise stated. Late payments may incur interest and administration fees.
6. Limitation of Liability
Liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.
We are not liable for errors or consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by you. We are also not liable for outcomes resulting from your failure to act on advice provided.
7. Confidentiality
All client information is handled with strict confidentiality, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the TPB Code of Conduct. We will not disclose your information without your consent, unless legally required.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement at any time with reasonable notice in writing. Work completed to the date of termination will be invoiced accordingly.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
